Welcome to Little Yoga Sprouts of Charleston!  The approach to our kid’s yoga program is to make it fun while teaching the three B’s of yoga: Brain (focus), Body (poses), and Breath (relaxation and energizing techniques). We believe in the power of yoga to promote overall health, peace, confidence, and joy in children. We bring this belief and commitment to our kid’s yoga program through the use of music, dance, storytelling, and the implementation of props that keep the children enthralled in the lessons. Exercise for a healthy life begins at an early age and should be FUN!

Therease Metivier, owner and instructor of Little Yoga Sprouts, recently retired after teaching 32 years as an Elementary and Special Education teacher in SC public schools where she was awarded Teacher of the Year for Charleston County School District.  She holds Masters Degrees in Special Education and Elementary Education and also serves as a Faculty Supervisor of Student Teachers with the University of Phoenix.
